Supermodel Isabelli Fontana vaccinates children against polio in India and calls for global support to end the disease worldwide

(March 20, 2015) u2013 Brazilian model and Rotary polio ambassador Isabelli Fontanau200b will travel to India in March to administer lifesaving polio vaccine and visit patients at St. Stephen's Hospital in New Delhi u2013 the only hospital in India with a dedicated polio ward to rehabilitate children suffering from the effects of the paralyzing disease.Star of many advertising campaigns, high fashion model, Victoria's Secret model, current face of L'Oreal for Latin America and mother of two, Fontana signed on to be an ambassador for polio eradication in 2013 to help raise awareness of Rotary's top goal of ending polio worldwide. Since then, she has appeared in Rotary's "This Close" campaign, raising her thumb and forefinger in the "this close" gesture in the ad with the tagline "we're this close to ending polio." Although India was declared polio-free last year, Fontana will vaccinate children to ensure the disease does not reemerge.
